Why we made this
The River Bandit Who Started It All
Scribbly's baseball cards didn't start as a product. They started as one mom's end-of-season gift for her son — and then his whole team — and then the coach asked if he could order a set for next year's roster. This page is the story, plus the honest answers to "who actually makes these?"
💛 Me & Eamon
The story
It started with a jaw-drop
At the end of a great season, proud of her son Eamon for his commitment and how much he'd grown, Lindsey made him trading cards of himself as a "Little League Legend" — his team, his number, his jersey, his favorite moment from the season, sealed in a real foil pack with a holographic card inside. When she showed him, his jaw actually dropped.
So she made one for every kid on the River Bandits, to hand out at the year-end pizza party. The kids' eyes went wide with pride. A mom cried. The coach asked if he could order a set for next year's roster — and her hairdresser wanted one for her son, too.
That was the tell: this wasn't a craft project, it was a product every baseball family would want. Scribbly Baseball is that gift, built properly — for all the brilliant kiddos out there doing their best to hit that tiny ball with their little bats.
Why illustration
A photo in a frame can only be as good as the photo. Illustration means any clear phone shot becomes real card art — composed, consistent, unmistakably them. It's also why a whole team's set looks like a matched series. More in illustrated vs. photo.
Why a collectible
Because the rip is the moment. Cards come sealed in a foil wrapper printed with the player's name — 10 cards, one holographic chase card in holo packs, a display box if you want the shelf piece. It's a keepsake that behaves like the real thing.
Made in America
Every card is printed in the USA by our production partner in Wisconsin — premium trading-card stock, UV gloss, real foil. Made to order for one specific kid, never pulled from a shelf.
The company
Scribbly Books ↔ Scribbly Baseball
Scribbly makes personalized keepsakes that put your kid at the center of the story — custom illustrated picture books at scribblybooks.com, and these trading cards at baseball.scribblybooks.com. Same company, same founder, same rule everywhere: you preview and approve everything before it prints, and your child's photo is never shared or published without your written permission.
Scribbly is an independent company — not affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed by Major League Baseball, Topps, or Little League Baseball. When we say "youth baseball," we mean the sport your kid plays, not an organization.
